I just loved the colors of this month’s challenge. I usually gravitate to the pinks and purples, but this lovely aqua and browns combination seemed so calm and restful. I needed to make a card with these colors and I have a friend in mind for this card.

I used the Journey Abroad hot foil plate and stencils with gold foil as my back ground. The plate comes with several coloring stencils so I used two shades of the blue and the darker brown to color the background. I could have used the stencils to color the entire background but I thought that would make the background too busy. I used the Birthday Wish die set for the sentiment and colored white paper using the same inks as the background so that everything coordinated.
