My first card today is a Feel Better Soon card. Don’t we all need those these days?

For this card I started with an embossed panel that I lightly rubbed with silver Gilding Polish. Then I die cut the flower out of 3 shades of pink/purple cardstock. I colored the butterfly with Altenew Artist Markers from the Red Sunset set and colored the body with a Black Artist Marker. Because I wanted the flower to be inlaid in the embossed panel I used the largest die to cut out the flower shape from the embossed panel and then inserted the completed flower in the panel. I used foam adhesive to attach the butterfly and leaf to raise them up. Finally I added my sentiment using foam adhesive too.

My next card is a happy birthday card.

For this card I decided to use a couple different layering die flowers to go with the butterfly flower. I started with a white panel that I cut down to 4″ by 5 1/4″ and sprayed with Altenew’s Antique Silver Ink Spray. I cut out the flower with the same pink/purple cardstock that I used for my first card. For the other flowers I used the Jumbo Garden Picks Die Set. I really like this set because it makes so many flowers and there is a single die for each color of the flowers. I didn’t have the color cardstock I wanted so after I die cut the flowers I used my blending brushes and colored the layers using Altenew Crisp Die ink in reds and yellows. I did the same with the leaves. Finally I printed out my sentiment using my laser printer and silver foiled it. What do you think?

My last card was a surprise. As I was looking at the dies I thought, “this could be a Christmas tree!”

I used different shades of green cardstock to cut out the flower pieces and hand cut a piece of brown cardstock for the trunk. I added some gems for Christmas ornaments (or lights) and used a star shaped Enamel Dot from Altenew and colored it yellow with an Artist Marker. Kind of a CAS card, not a lot of detail but, it was fun to think outside the box on different ways to use this die set.

I hope you enjoyed the cards. Please leave a comment and let me know which one you liked the best. And be sure to continue on with the hop.
