Susan Busada’s Vellum and Alcohol Ink Class
Susan is Altenew’s 50th Certified Educator. Woo Hoo. (I’m the 51st). She taught a marvelous class a couple of weeks ago using Alcohol Markers to color Vellum to create wonderfully textured flowers. I’ve used alcohol markers before on vellum, but not using this technique. Thank you so much to Susan for teaching this class. I love the way the cards turned out. Please check out her website here.
For the first card I used Altenew’s Craft-A-Flower: Cosmos. I do like the way the flourished background shows through the flower stems. That’s thanks to the translucency of the Vellum. But really notice the texture/spotting on the flowers themselves. That’s a result of this technique she taught of spritzing the colored vellum with alcohol.
The second card I used Altenew’s Mini Flower Cluster Layering Die Set. For both cards I used Altenew’s Artist Markers Red Sunset set.
