I’m So Excited
Today I found out that I am officially an Altenew Educator. I passed! Hopefully this will be another new journey for me. Today I want to share some cards I’ve been working on for my own pleasure. I recently purchased the Craft Your Life: Feathered Lilies. This is such a fun set to work with. It comes with a stamp set that includes one very large bouquet and many sentiments, a die cut for the bouquet, coloring stencils, and a 3D embossing folder. I’ve made so many cards with this set but on one of them I decided to watercolor the flower using Altenew’s Artist’s Watercolor pan set. Because the bouquet is so large the whole thing doesn’t fit on a card. So after I cut it down to fit the card base, I had the bottom of the bouquet. See below.
However, I loved the bottom and just couldn’t throw it out. So I took out my Beauty Within stamp set and painted one of the flowers. Then, I looked in my “wanna be cards” stash and found a background that coordinated perfectly.
And here is the final card.
Here are a few more cards I made with this set.
The last 3 cards was on my reject list, but a friend of mine was over and she loved them, so she took them. Just goes to show you we all have different styles, likes, and dislikes. The bottom left one is alcohol inks for the background and watercolor over the top of the flowers. The two on the right I used the embossing folder and inked up the background of the folder before running it through my die cut machine.
I hope I’ve given you some ideas for your next card project.
