Creative Watercolor
I don’t know what the weather has been where you are but here in Massachusetts it’s been unbearably hot and humid. Last week it was almost 100° here! I’ve been making lots of cards but not posting so much. Today’s card I did for Altenew’s Creative Watercolor Media class. They had so many different ways to “watercolor” without using actual watercolor paints, a great class. Here’s the card I did.
I started by spraying Altenew’s Antique Gold ink spray in the center of a piece of watercolor paper. Then using a wet brush I spattered more of the ink spray around the card. I heat set one of the flowers from the Pen Sketched flowers stamp and die set on another piece of watercolor paper and used the coordinating die to cut it out. Next I smushed various colors of Altenew ink onto my multimedia mat and blended it with some of the ink spray and loosely painted the flowers. I glued the flowers onto the watercolor paper and trim it with a piece of gold washi tape. Finally I added my sentiment and some green gems.
let me know what you think.
