Color Your Day
Oh my it been a long time since I last posted. So sorry about that. I spend the month of April with my 94 year old mother helping her out. Then I spent the month of May birding (and recovering). I have taken an Altenew online workshop and made some cards just haven’t gotten around to posting anything yet.
I recently finished the Color Your Day class. I always love anything to do with color. For one of the classes she wanted us to choose color from some inspiration, so for this card I decided to use this Month’s Inspiration Challenge.
If you’re interested in participating you can find all the information here. I chose to use Wildflower Garden stamp and die set and the Just Leaves die set. I inked the flowers with two shades of blue. I believe I used Turquoise and Tide Blue. For the leaves I used Hazelnut and Almond Butter inks and a blending brush to give the various shades. I used Stickles to give the centers a glittery finish. I mounted the flowers and leaves on white cardstock that I ink blended using Sea Glass ink. After I was all done I wanted to give the flowers some more depth so I took an idea from the Beautiful Details class. I added darker blue strokes to the center of the flowers using my Zig Markers.
I hope this finds you all well and safe and I hope COVID restrictions are letting up wherever you live.

June 11, 2021 at 11:32 pmYour card is absolutely beautiful! I believe, if you could edit your photo a little bit and increase the brightness or the highlights, it would make your project pop even more. Thank your to submitting your work to the AECP assignment gallery.
