Cards with a Twist
When creating a card I like to try something different or unique to make my cards stand out from others. I’m not always successful but I do this to try to stretch my creativity. This is why I loved this class called With a Twist. Therese, the instructor, gave great suggestions for giving your cards a little pizzazz. I decided to use the technique that uses embossing powder just a little differently. For this card I used the Dainty Bouquet stamp set. It is so dainty and makes a beautiful sympathy card, of which we need too many of these days. Instead of stamping on white paper I thought I’d twist it up a bit and stamp on muted purple cardstock. I stamped the first layer with Altenew’s Andromeda ink. I stamped the second layer with Versamark ink and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I love the look. I emphasized the tips of the dainty leaves with a dark purple colored pencil just to add some details. I heat embossed the sentiment on a vellum strip and mounted everything on black cardstock.
