Moving Right Along

The next class I took for AECP Level 2 was “In the Mood for Color.” We explored the way color can enhance the mood of your card. I decided to use blue, meaning quiet, reflective, sad. I made a sympathy card using pearlized cardstock I found at staples. Actually, it was a set of blank pearlized notecards with matching envelopes. I used Altenew’s Beautiful Bergenia 3d embossing folder to emboss one of the notecards. Then, using a blending brush, I blended Nimbus crisp die ink over half of the notecard making it darker on the left and fading to the right. I created a sentiment strip using black cardstock and white heat embossing the sentiment on the right side of the strip. I then mounted it on a card base. I was very impressed with the way the notecard took the ink. It made an easy, elegant card.
