Stunningly Simple Watercolor Techniques: Lesson 5.

In lesson 5 we watercolored over a solid stamp, rather than coloring in an outline stamp. I’m not happy with my first attempt, mostly because I didn’t use watercolor paper. I used Bristol paper and it just doesn’t react the same way as watercolor paper. I knew better, but watercolor paper is expensive and Bristol paper isn’t.

So I decided to use that technique using watercolor paper and the Pen Sketched Flowers Silhouette stamp set. I got this set recently and love it. The watercolor paper I used was very textured, which I didn’t care so much about, but I do love the way it finally turned out.
