I Am The Diva Challenge #331

I loved this challenge. This weeks challenge is to use the Petoskey stone as inspiration for your tile. The Petoskey stone is a It’s a fossilized stone that’s only found  in Michigan  on the shores of  Lake Michigan. And I’m originally from Michigan. The Petoskey stone is the state stone and you can read all about them here.

As I was  drawing  the tile for this challenge I could see a little tiny solar eclipses in each of the sections. Which prompted me to blacken the center of each section. If you’ve read my earlier blog posts my husband and I had the opportunity to see a total solar eclipse of the sun a couple of weeks ago. And I’ve got eclipse fever and that’s about all I can think of at the moment. We are hoping and planning to see one of the next eclipses. The next one being in southern Chile in 2019 and then again in 2020. The next one to be in the United States is in seven years.

I hope you can find inspiration in this weeks diva challenge.

This was a perfect opportunity to continue your eclipse inspiration. The coral pods and eclipsed suns work really well together. Nice!
